GSA’s Federal Supply Schedules are large Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contracts through which federal customers can acquire products and services directly from commercial suppliers. Contractors can accept any size order on a Time and Materials (T&M) or Firm Fixed Price (FFP) basis. In accordance with FAR 8.404(b)(3), the maximum order threshold represents the point where it is advantageous for the Government customer to seek a price reduction from the schedule contractor providing the best value.

GSA schedule benefits for federal customers:

  • A synopsis is not required.
  • GSA Schedule contracts comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Administrative time is reduced, resulting in faster awards. Orders can be placed in days.
  • Any size order can be placed; there is no dollar ceiling.
  • The contracting office reviews two other vendors' schedule prices. Because we are 8(a), orders through the GSA schedule can be sole sourced. (This eliminates the two additional source requirement.)
  • There are minimum documentation requirements.
Ordering from Multiple Award Schedules
Obtain the Federal Supply Schedule or go to GSA Advantage! Review products or services to make a best value selection (seek price reductions by viewing FAR 8.404(b)(3) + (5)). Place your order.

Teaming Arrangements
Teaming Arrangements are permitted with Multiple Award Schedule Contractors in accordance with FAR 9.6. Under a Team Arrangement Multiple Award Schedule, contractors can join with other schedule contract holders to submit a proposal providing a total comprehensive solution. Teaming Arrangements may be incorporated into your BPA.

Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA’s) Under The GSA Schedule
Setting up a BPA with a Multiple Award Schedule contractor will help you fill recurring needs while taking advantage of quantity discounts, saving administrative time, and reducing paperwork. With the elimination of the maximum order limitation, agencies are no longer restricted by dollar limits when placing orders under a BPA.

With a Multiple Award Schedule BPA, you can order as much or as little as you want and as often as you want. The BPA can serve as an ordering device for field offices across the nation, allowing them to place orders directly. As a result, your entire agency can reap the benefits of discounts added to your own BPA!
