To support critical engineering initiatives, we offer comprehensive engineering and technical services for a wide array of systems ranging from digital satellite communications links to terrestrial networks to broadcast production. We are engaged in the design, development, and support of distribution networks, satellite systems and shipboard entertainment systems. These systems disseminate news, information and entertainment data and video worldwide through the latest technology available. We engineer the most optimal form of signal transmission and distribution for television and video systems, satellite transmitters and receivers, audio systems and any supporting equipment. OMNITEC offers comprehensive engineering and technical support services to include:
Design EngineeringOur engineering design process begins with the concept development and requirements analysis. Once the supporting requirements have been developed, we will analyze the latest technology advances and incorporate existing assets into a comprehensive solution that is efficient and meets the required functionality. We offer a broad range of design expertise in the optimization of audio/video transmission and reception equipment and systems. Efforts performed in support of Government agencies and commercial clients include; the design and development of data and video transfer media; design and development of network and server configurations to support worldwide data and video transmissions; requirements development for transmission of satellite data, audio and television signals to U.S. Navy ships; emerging technology analysis. Areas of recent focus for our engineering staff include digital compression of audio/video signals, open systems architectures, ATM, and SONET technologies for application to advance video switching and shipboard video integration. Our design engineering capabilities include:
Systems EngineeringWe perform comprehensive systems engineering services to analyze and develop solutions for customer hardware and software requirements. We also evaluate existing system designs to determine if performance enhancements or cost savings can be derived through the introduction or integration of newly available technology. Efforts performed in support of Government agencies and commercial clients include; developing performance and detailed equipment specifications for the acquisition of new systems; defining system space and weight limitations, performing shock and vibration analysis, equipment supportability planning and functionality engineering; fabricating and installing prototype systems for proof of concept demonstrations on changes to existing systems and potential new production systems; developing engineering change documentation; developing plans for phased upgrade implementation based on technology availability, prototype demonstrations, manufacturer lead times, and delivery scheduling; defining engineering acceptance criteria for new entertainment system acquisitions; preparing preliminary system architectures to incorporate enhanced equipment/technology functionality. Our systems engineering capabilities include:
Technical SupportOur engineers and technicians install, test and maintain mission essential hardware and software systems for a variety of systems that support customers worldwide. We provide testing to verify new systems and upgrades are operating in accordance with documented design requirements. We develop detailed reports and support documentation concerning acceptability and conformance associated with performance requirements. For all installed equipment and systems we provide operational support and training. Efforts performed in support of Government agencies and commercial clients include; coordinating shipboard system installation and testing scheduling; preparing installation authorization documentation including Justification/Cost Forms and Ship Alterations Records; developing system documentation to support satellite communications system installations and testing; repairing and maintaining systems and ancillary equipment; cable and hardware fabrication; providing technical and operational support for shipboard entertainment systems; providing preventative maintenance and removal of systems and equipment; preparing as-built drawings to document each installation; providing training in system installation, maintenance and repair. Technical engineering capabilities include:
