Data are being acquired in research clinics, wearable devices, high throughput sequencers and by increasingly sophisticated imaging technologies. The need to move these data, unencumbered, directly into a data warehouse has become increasingly important.
Gryphon is satisfying this need by allowing research data to be validated, moved and shared automatically through web services into de-identified and identifiable data repositories. Specifically associated to a research subject, the data now being moved and made available are based upon scientifically validated phenotypes and experimental results, a vast improvement over insurance classifications.
Furthermore, with our research subject identification system, we are setting up the infrastructure allowing research subjects to control and access their data, helping create a consolidated electronic health infrastructure to better understand disease. Without fanfare, we are leading the way forward in electronic health records infrastructure.
